UISD Superintendent Receives Recognition From City of Laredo

(Laredo, Tx)-United ISD Superintendent Roberto J. Santos received a special recognition from the City of Laredo’s Mayor, Pete Saenz, and City Council Members during a City Council meeting held on Monday, December 7, 2020.
Upon announcing his retirement from United I.S.D., Mr. Santos was recognized for his 38 years of service to the District, serving 16 of those years as Superintendent. He was presented with an Award of Appreciation and a Proclamation.
“I have been truly blessed to work alongside many outstanding UISD administrators, educators and employees. It has been a privilege and an honor to serve as Superintendent for United ISD,” said Roberto J. Santos. He added, “I want to thank our Board Members, past and present, for allowing me to work hand-in-hand in the best interest of our staff and our students.” Mr. Santos thanked Mayor Saenz and the City Council Members for this honor. “I am grateful for your support and well wishes,” he concluded.
