City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed five new deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.

The 311th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid-60s. He died on Monday, September 07, 2020

The 312th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his late-50s. He died on Sunday, August 30, 2020

The 313th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late-70s. She died on Tuesday, September 22, 2020

The 314th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early-70s. She died on Thursday, August 27, 2020

The 315th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early-70s. He died on Tuesday, September 15, 2020

Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.

As of 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 05, 2020, a total of 59,170 people have been tested, 14,156 have resulted positive (660 are active), 13,181 persons have estimated recovered, 77 are currently hospitalized (43 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate 23.28%, and 315 have died.

In order to safeguard legally-protected information, the City of Laredo is not publically releasing personal or identifiable information regarding any cases as it relates to COVID-19 testing, results or monitoring.
