City, County Confirm New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed two new deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families of those who have lost a loved one and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
291st death is a female in her mid-70s. She passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
292nd death is a female in her late 50s. She passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2020.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020, a total of 54,591 people have been tested, 13,697 have resulted positive (498 are active), 12,907 persons have estimated recovered, 90 are currently hospitalized (43 of which are in the ICU), hospitalization rate is 24.9% and 292 have died.
In order to safeguard legally-protected information, the City of Laredo is not publically releasing personal or identifiable information regarding any cases as it relates to COVID-19 testing, results or monitoring.
