City, County Confirm 5 New COVID-19 Related Deaths

LAREDO, Texas—The City of Laredo and Webb County have confirmed five more deaths in Webb County related to COVID-19. The City and County want to express their most sincere condolences to the families and want them to know that our counselors and our teams are available to support them.
The 145th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early 60s. He died on Tuesday, August 04, 2020.
The 146th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her late 50s. She died on Tuesday, August 04, 2020.
The 147th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his early 40s. He died on Wednesday, August 05, 2020.
The 148th death of a Webb County resident was a female in her early 80s. She died on Wednesday, August 05, 2020.
The 149th death of a Webb County resident was a male in his mid 80s. He died on Wednesday, August 05, 2020.
Stay home if you are sick and call your doctor. Do not go to the doctor’s office, call your doctor first. If it is an emergency, call 9-1-1.
As of 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 06, 2020, a total of 20,435 people have been tested, 12,008 people have resulted negative, 7,417 have resulted positive (4,770 are active), 1,010 test results are pending, 2,498 persons are estimated recovered, 194 are currently hospitalized (73 of which are in the ICU), eleven patients are currently admitted at the alternate care site, and 149 have died.
