(Laredo, Texas)-Recently, famous children’s book author & storyteller Joe Hays visited the students of George Washington Middle School to read them his latest American South West folklore tale, La Llorona. Hays is famous for being an early pioneer of bilingual Spanish/English storytelling. Hays vividly read and acted out La Llorona for the students and their teachers in the school’s library. After the reading, Hays signed books for the middle schoolers and staff.
