McAllen International Airport Welcomes Allegiant’s New Non-Stop Service to Phoenix

McAllen, TX – Beginning October 3, 2019, Allegiant will provide nonstop service from McAllen International Airport (MFE) to Phoenix, Arizona via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA.)

“We are grateful for our partnership with Allegiant Air and are excited to be working with them on the addition of a new year-round route to Phoenix.  This route will enhance westward connectivity for our community as well as offer affordable, non-stop service to a key business and tourist destination,” said McAllen Mayor James E. Darling.

Allegiant Air flights to Phoenix will operate twice weekly, year-round. The route joins Allegiant Air’s regular service to Los Angeles, Orlando, and Las Vegas from McAllen International Airport. Travelers will find flight days, times, and the best deals on fares only at Allegiant.com.

Allegiant Air gives McAllen-area travelers low base fares with additional savings on rental cars and hotels. Travelers who book their entire vacation through Allegiant.com will now enjoy more value throughout the trip.

To celebrate the arrival of service to Phoenix, McAllen International Airport will announce a special Arizona River Adventure text-to-win giveaway.

“We invite our community to make plans to visit this new non-stop destination that only McAllen International Airport and Allegiant can offer you,” said McAllen City Manager, Roel “Roy” Rodriguez, P.E.  “Phoenix provides the entire family an array of activities to choose from that will sure to make for a memorable vacation. You will be able to shop, dine, visit museums, botanical gardens, a zoo, parks and attend professional basketball, baseball, football and hockey games.”

By bringing Phoenix closer to Valley travelers, Allegiant Air will bolster McAllen International Airport’s reputation as the Valley’s favorite airport.
