UISD Parents Attend April 2019 U.C.O.P. Meeting

(Laredo, Texas)-The United Independent School District (UISD), Federal Programs Department recently hosted its monthly United Council of Parents (U.C.O.P.), meeting at the UISD Student Activity Complex. UISD Federal Programs Coordinator Sara Hernandez began the program by discussing the importance of parent engagement at school and at home.
Hernandez broadened the discussion by instructing parents on how to utilize district-wide parent engagement components and discretionary district-wide and family engagement components. U.C.O.P. meetings are held monthly during the school year, and topics of discussion are designed to increase parental involvement with children at home and at school.
Parents are encouraged to attend the complimentary monthly meetings.
