Lyndon B. Johnson Students Help Victims of Hurricane Harvey

Courtesy Alex Meyer,

(Laredo, Texas)-The Lyndon B. Johnson United for Texas Hurricane Aid Drive began when students in Robert Czar’s global business class expressed their desire help Houstonians who continue to struggle with the devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey. Mr. Czar told his students that they could render the needed assistance if they organized a drive to collect basic necessities.

The idea spread rapidly to become a campus-wide effort, with students and staff donating an array of non-perishable food items, water and personal/baby care products. “Webb County Pct. 1  Commissioner Jesse Gonzalez and the Webb County Sheriff’s Department, have arranged to have all donations transported to Houston”, said Czar. Anyone  wishing to contribute to the drive may do so by dropping off donations at Lyndon B. Johnson High School’s main office through Friday, September 15. For more information, please call Ms. Perla Gonzalez, Student Activity Director, at 473 5127. Lyndon B. Johnson High School is located at 5626 Cielito Lindo Blvd.
