(Laredo, Texas)-Have you ever thought about running your own food truck and sharing your family’s secret fajita taco? How about launching a pop-up store for your special crafts, or offering a mobile retail store?
If so, the Texas A&M International University Small Business Development Center (TAMIU-SBDC) will host a special panel discussion on these topics Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2017 from 1 – 4:30 p.m. at the International Bank of Commerce (IBC) Bank Administration Building, 2418 Jacaman Road.
The panel discussion will offer insight from food truck operators, food truck manufacturers, craft vendor operators, officials from the City of Laredo and others.
TAMIU-SBDC director Michael Gonzalez said the panel discussion is a response to community interest and business growth in mobile approaches.
“We have seen an increase in interest in food trucks and mobile businesses.
Whether a potential business owner has a family recipe, a unique skill, or is simply monetizing their hobby, those interested in opening mobile businesses will be provided with the information that they will need to succeed.
We encourage those interested to join us, ” Gonzalez said.
