WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman Vicente Gonzalez (D-TX-15) today issued the statement below on the most recent budget request by President Trump:
“As I have said previously, building a wall is an antiquated idea and would be a costly and unproductive exercise. I look forward to closely reviewing the President’s Budget request for border security. It is my hope that President Trump will abandon campaign rhetoric and instead consider implementing a virtual wall comprised of cameras, sensors, and aerostats as well as boots on the ground.”
