UISD Students Place at UIL State Academic Meet

(Laredo, Texas)-The 2017 University Interscholastic League Academic State Meet welcomed more than 2,500 participants from across Texas to the University of Texas at Austin campus on April 21-22. State Champions were named in each conference 1A through 6A, in 25 academic contests.
Students qualified for Texas Interscholastic League Foundation scholarships through their participation at the UIL Academic State Meet, Since its inception in 1954, the TILF has awarded more than $27 million to nearly 18,000 Texas high school students. Academic State Contests include one-act play, journalism, speech and debate, math and science, language arts, business education, computer science and social studies.
