TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY HOSTS INTERDISCIPLINARY SCIENCE RESEARCH CONFERENCE FOR UNITED ISD HIGH SCHOOL RESEARCH AND DESIGN STUDENTS

(Laredo, Texas)-United ISD high school students took part of the Interdisciplinary Science Research Conference hosted by Texas A&M International University. The conference shared valuable research information aiding them in their future scientific research and design projects. The conference consisted of 8 presentations by current University professors. The students were able to take notes and ask questions to further develop their on-going research.
Junior, Elizabeth N. Miller from AHS partook in the presentation of Mechanism of Randomness in Randomized Controlled Trials; The “Si-Texas Juntos” Experience given by professors Dr. Marcus Ynalvez and Mr. Jorge Aviles. Miller inquired about the possibility of bias in her research, which is based on Behavior and Social Sciences.
“I am preparing for the line of questioning asked by judges at the international level.” She adds, “ I showcased at the 2016 Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, and plan to participate in 2017,” said Miller.
