Rio Bravo Clean Up Campaign

(Laredo, Texas)-Webb County is teaming up with the citizen group “Alianza de Rio Bravo Por Agua Pura” in a community clean up drive. Residents can drop off permitted items at the Rio Bravo Wastewater Plant on June 21, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
After recent heavy rainfall, this initiative is part of an effort to clean up areas where mosquitos might breed and potentially spread disease. Residents are asked to take advantage of this free service.
ONLY the following items will be permitted:
• Small pieces of Wood
• Branches
• Furniture & Mattresses
• Tires (limit four per household)
• Recyclable Iron & Metal
• Vehicles without fluids, or fuel tanks
• Refrigerators without compressors
The following items will NOT be permitted:
• Toilets & Sinks
• Construction Material & Debris
• Electronics
• Used Clothing
• Household Trash
• Items with hazardous chemicals or flammable liquids
