Alexander High School Student Emerges as UIL Spelling Champion

(Laredo, Texas)-Andrew Riojas, an 11th grader at Alexander High School, is UIL State Champion in Spelling. He first competed at the District level and the Regional level, and won 1st Place in both competitions. Riojas then advanced to State and won 1st Place with a score of 95. Ruben’s spelling coach is Elizabeth Guerrero.
