Sheriff’s Deputies arrest man for Endangering a Child

Laredo, TX (Webb County) – A traffic stop by the Webb County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of a man who put his infant child’s life in danger, Wednesday.
A Sheriff Deputy patrolling along Highway 359 spotted a Chevrolet Pick-up truck driven by Enrique Rodriguez, 23, racing another vehicle. When officials pulled Rodriguez over, he reportedly admitted to racing, while his 2-month-old daughter was in the vehicle. The deputy also observed the infant who was there with her mother was unrestrained and not in a car seat.
Rodriguez was arrested and charged with Endangering a Child Criminal Negligence and Racing on a Highway. He was taken to the Webb County Jail and released on a $10,000 bond.
