St. Paul 9, Gary SouthShore 6
The St. Paul Saints took control of the contest in the top of the eighth inning with a six-run rally and ended up claiming a 9-6 win over the Gary SouthShore RailCats.
That six-run rally came on three-run doubles from both 3B Henry Wrigley and RF Keith Brachold and it erased what was a 6-2 deficit. Reliever Mackenzie King picked up the win for working the seventh inning without giving up a hit and reliever Dan Sattler earned the save.
Laredo 9, Grand Prairie 5
The Laredo Lemurs pulled away late with six runs in the seventh inning and went on to beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs 9-5.
Eight different Lemurs registered at least one hit and three of them had multi-hit games. CF Nick Van Stratten and 1B John Alonso had three hits for Laredo and LF Byron Wiley added two hits. SS Devin Goodwin had a game-high two RBI. For the AirHogs, SS Miquel Castano went 3-for-5 with an RBI and 2B Alex Nunez went 2-for-4 with a run scored.
Reliever Michael Suk earned the win as he worked the sixth, seventh and eighth innings. He gave up just one run on one hit and recorded one strikeout.

The Wichita Wingnuts never trailed as they downed the Lincoln Saltdogs 6-2.
Wichita got on the board in the second inning when DH Carlo Testa and C Chris McMurray scored after 2B Taylor Oldham singled and then scored on a sacrifice fly from RF Jared McDonald. Oldham went 2-for-4 on the night and had a team-high three RBI. Three other Wingnuts also had a pair of hits including Testa who added two runs scored.
For the Saltdogs, CF Jon Gaston went 3-for-4 with an RBI and SS Mike Gilmartin had Lincoln’s other RBI. Wingnuts starting pitcher Jason Van Skike was tabbed as the winner as he went six innings on the mound and allowed just one run on six hits.
Kansas City 8, Amarillo 4
The Kansas City T-Bones came out hot and put up five runs in the first inning as they took care of the Amarillo Sox 8-4.
The T-Bones broke though as they loaded up the bases and LF Bryan Sabatella drew a walk. CF Robby Kuzdale and C Brian Erie cleared the bases with back-to-back singles to take a five run lead. The Sox put up two runs in both the sixth and eighth innings to crack into the T-Bones lead but never leveled the score. T-Bones DH Matt Padgett added an RBI on a pair of hits.
For the Sox LF Derek Perren and SS Ransom LaLonde went 2-for-4 and scored a run and DH Kyle Nichols had a team-high two RBI.
Rockland 4, Fargo-Moorhead 1
The Rockland Boulders took the lead early and held off the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks on their way to a 4-1 win in the series opener Monday night.
In the bottom of the first inning, 2B Matt Nandin scored on a sacrifice fly from 1B Jerod Edmondson to put the Boulders out in front. Rockland added another run in the third on a wild pitch and tacked on two more runs in the seventh on a double from RF Ryan Stovall. Stovall was one of two Boulders to have a pair of hits on the night alongside CF Antone DeJesus.
For the RedHawks, CF Nic Jackson had two hits and the team’s lone RBI in the top of the eighth inning. Boulders starting pitcher Bo Budkevics kept the RedHawks bats at bay as he went seven innings and gave up just three hits in the winning effort.
Winnipeg 6, New Jersey 4
