LEMURS SHOOT DOWN AIRHOGS 14-2

Grand Prairie, TX – Between the fourth and the seventh innings the Laredo Lemurs put up 14 runs and grabbed 18 hits, as they go on to beat the Grand Prairie AirHogs 14-2 on Friday night at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas.
The Lemurs had plenty of hot hitters in route of the AirHogs, but no one stood out more than Lemurs left fielder J.P. Ramirez, who went five for five on the night with two doubles, three singles, three runs, and two RBI’s.
Other Lemurs stand outs included Harrison Kain who picked up four hits and three RBI’s, and Angel Flores who had three hits in five at-bats, with three runs scored, and three RBI’s.
The Lemurs came through on the mound as well, with starting pitcher Tyler Pearson throwing six innings, giving up only three hits, while holding the AirHogs scoreless. Pearson also struck out six AirHogs batters. The win moves Pearson to 2-0 on the year.
Starting pitcher Shawn Spainhoward took the loss for the AirHogs as he suffered through three and a third, giving up eight runs, on nine hits, with one walk. The loss moves Spainhoward to 0-2 on the season.
