Guest Speaker Romeo Rodriguez Visits United South High School

United South high school welcomed guest speaker Mr. Romeo Rodriguez on Tuesday, April 8. Rodriguez spoke to students about self – esteem and how it acts as a driving force to personal choices. Mr. Rodriguez drew on his personal experiences to illustrate how working in the service of others helped him raise his own self – esteem and as a result, experience an abundance of success in his professional life.
“Working to help others fosters self-confidence and gives every person a unique opportunity to greatly improve the quality of their life” said Mr. Rodriguez. Mr. Rodriguez’ impressive resume includes stints as a former teacher and Principal at L.I.S.D., Superintendent at Zapata I.S.D., and Executive Director of the South Texas Council for Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
