(Laredo, Tx)-A routine traffic stop by a Laredo Police Officer turned into a seizure 14.85 kilograms of methamphetamine.
The officer pulled over a 2004 Kenworth tractor-trailer for a speeding violation while traveling northbound on Interstate 35, near the 14 mile marker. The officer developed probable cause for searching the tractor-trailer after running a K9 around the tractor-trailer, which alerted to presence of narcotics. Upon searching the tractor-trailer, Officers discovered 13 bundles of crystal methamphetamine wrapped in clear plastic which was hidden in the box trailer of the truck.
