LAREDO, Texas – San Antonio-born, and international Mariachi, Banda and Ranchera music singer-songwriter Pepe Aguilar has announced a one-of-a-kind show in Laredo on Saturday, April 12. Doors open at 8 p.m. the day of show.
With the release of his debut album “Por Mujeres Como Tú” in 1998, Aguilar achieved femonimal success; selling over two million copies worldwide and staying on the Billboard charts for over 50 weeks. His second album, “Por Una Mujer Bonita” the following year won him a Latin Grammy and has been nominated nine times.
His 2003 album, “Y Tenerte Otra Vez,” became his first #1 album on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. Aguilar’s 2008 full-length, “Homenaje,” paid tribute to his father, Antonio Aguilar the original “Charro de Mexico.” The album contained 13 songs of the most popular hits made famous by the elder singer who passed away in 2008.
Including his 2010 album, “Bicentenrario” and his 2011 EP, “Negociaré Con La Pena,” Aguilar has over 16 studio albums and multiple compilations to his name with millions of records sold.
“Prometiste”, “Directo al Corazon”, and “Lastima Que Seas Ajena” are among some of his most popular and newest hits setting him at the throne of his genre.
“Pepe Aguilar is one of the biggest names in this market and we are honored to host him in Laredo as well as welcoming back HKG Promotions and E-Management & Co.” said Xavier Villalon, general manager for the SMG-managed Laredo Energy Arena.
