Clark Elementary Marks 4oth Anniversary

(Laredo, Tx)-On November 22nd, Clark Elementary staff and students celebrated the 40th anniversary of the campus with an event that welcomed former students, principals and special guest, Mr. Monte Moore. Moore is the great grandson of Norman Clark Sr., who donated the land to build Clark Elementary.
UISD Trustee Javier Montemayor Jr. (a former student) and Mayor Raul Salinas reflected on the rich history of Clark Elementary and the many success stories that began there. The Mayor also presented Principal Sandra Higadera with a certificate of recognition marking the campus’four decades of educational excellence.
Clark students kept spirits high with dance performances set to musical selections from the 60s to the present. The event was emceed by UISD Public Relations Director Veronica R. Yunes, and coordinated by Sandra Higadera, Principal and Selina Perez, Librarian.
