(Laredo, Tx)-Tennis trainers from the Laredo Tennis Association (LTA) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA, Austin, Texas) took time to bring the Young Rackets Tennis Program to Salinas Elementary students. The program introduces the basics of tennis to while stressing the importance of exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. Students rotated in small groups so that all could engage in activities that help to develop foundational skills for the game. Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade enjoyed the learning experience and activities.
