Author Terry Widener Visits Nye Elementary

(Laredo, Tx)-Author and illustrator Terry Widener stopped by Nye elementary to discuss his work with several groups of Nye Elementary students. He also encouraged them to read good books on a regular basis. In addition, Mr. Widener illustrated segments of short stories that were written by the students. Terry Widener began his career as an artist in advertising and editorial illustration, then furthered his success as an illustrator for the children’s picture book market before writing his first children’s book (The Luckiest Man) in 1997.
