Four Arrested for Criminal Activity

(Laredo, Tx)- On March 13th at approximately 11:58p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Juarez Ave. and Madison St. on a possible assault in progress call. Upon arrival officers found the victim, a 30 year old male victim who told them that he had been assaulted by four male subjects who were in a Black Dodge Charger. The victim alleged that the suspects had pointed a gun at him and forced him into the vehicle but then eventually threw him out.
A lookout was given out to police officers; a short time later, officers pulled over a vehicle matching the description by the 3200 of San Bernardo Ave., 4 subjects were detained; in addition, officers located a .357 Semi-Automatic handgun and a small amount of marijuana by the 3200 of San Agustin Ave. These items were thrown out the car by the suspects. Crimes Against Persons Detectives responded to the scene and began an investigation.
The case is an ongoing investigation and a clear motive for this encounter has not yet been determined. Eric Israel Jurado Garcia, Reyes Montemayor Jr., Alejandro De Leon, and a 16 year old male juvenile were all charged with Aggravated Assault Felony 2, Aggravated Kidnapping Felony 1, Engaging in organized criminal activity Felony 1, and Possession of marijuana Class B. The weapon recovered had been reported stolen previously and Eric Isreal Jurado Garcia was additionally charged with the theft of the firearm.
