“Unspeakable Subject Topic of Writing Group”

On Saturday, July 28, 2012, from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the HEB Multi-Purpose Room,, the Laredo Public Library, 1120 E. Calton Road, will host The Greatest Silence Writing Group, a group based on the film, The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo by film maker Lisa Jackson, a documentary about violence and rape against women in the Congo. The workshop will be facilitated by Dr. Barbara Baker, a faculty member at Texas A&M International University.
The workshop is open to all who are interested in attending.
After reviewing the film, writing group members will have the opportunity to write a series of responses and reactions to what they have seen and experienced during the video presentation.
