Sheriff’s Deputies Seize Over $360,000 In Heroin and Cocaine

(Laredo, Texas) Webb County – On Friday, June 15, 2012 at approximately 3:00 pm, Sheriff’s Deputies conducted an investigation which led to the intersection of Water Street and Salinas Avenue.
During the investigation a Sheriff’s Deputy K9 alerted to the presence of contraband in the vehicle which led to the search warrant and seizure of a 2001 black in color Volkswagen Jetta. Deputies recovered 3 packages from within the vehicle that consisted of: 1.53 kilos of heroin with an estimated street value of $218,400 and 2.34 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of 147,420. The narcotics totaling $365,520.00
“This seizure is part of our summer operation initiated to rid the streets of these illicit narcotics,” stated Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
