LAREDO, TX – A Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Certification Workshop will be held in Laredo, April 17-20, for persons interested in becoming certified CPS technicians as there is a great need for more CPS techs in all communities.
As a CPS tech, you will be able to learn how to properly install child passenger safety seats in vehicles while teaching parents and childcare givers proper and safe instruction.
This four-day course will be offered at the Texas Department of Transportation Laredo District Office located at 1817 Bob Bullock Loop in Laredo. In January of 2011, 17 persons were certified CPS technicians at a similar workshop held in Laredo.
Frank Luera, a senior instructor for the Safe Riders, Inc. said, “More CPS techs locally means more education and instruction available to the community with the ultimate goal of keeping children safe in vehicles should an accident occur.”
