(LAREDO, TX) On Tuesday, December 6, 2011, State Representative Ryan Guillen, and representatives from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), District Attorney of Webb and Zapata Counties (DA of W-Z Co.), City of Laredo Municipal Court (LMC), Laredo Independent School District (LISD) Teens in the Driver Seat, Texas Municipal Police Association (TMPA) will join the City of Laredo Police Department (LPD) and Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) to remind Laredo area residents of the holiday campaign Drink. Drive. Go to Jail campaign.

During this holiday season the law enforcement agencies in Laredo will be working overtime to find and arrest drunk drivers. TxDOT and their partners hope to raise awareness of the consequences of a DWI, a DWI conviction and the alternatives available to Texans such as calling a cab, designating a sober driver ahead of time, using public transportation, staying put, calling a friend or family member for a ride and more.
