City of Laredo Mayor Raul G.Salinas was happy to proclaim the day Texas Recycles Day in Laredo, as
the 6th Annual Recycles Day Fair kicked off earlier today with the “Kids
Only” early celebration. Teaching the community, especially, children,
about the importance of recycling and protecting and keeping our
environment clean is a priority for Mayor Salinas, and he gamely
presents the proclamation to some of the students at the fair, as well
as posing with the City of Laredo’s favorite mascots: The Greeen
Guardian (Parks & Leisure Services), Tommy the Tank (Utilities), Willie
Bote (Solid Waste) and Reader Bear (Library).
