Laredo, TX—The City of Laredo Health Department (CLHD) would like to remind all parents that now is the best time to get their children, teenagers and college students immunized. Do not wait until school starts!
As a new school year is approaching we want all students to be protected. We want to thank all school nurses and physicians that work with the CLHD to assure everyone is protected, especially through timely and appropriate immunizations. Finally, we want to inform the public that there is a new change in immunization recommendations for college entry students. It is recommended, and will soon be required, that all college students get vaccinated against meningococcal disease, more commonly known as bacterial meningitis.
