Sheriff Martin Cuellar Presented a $5,000 Contribution to Voz de Niños

Laredo, Texas (Webb County) – On Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011 Sheriff Martin Cuellar presented a $5,000 check to Voz de Niños. Voz de Niños is the local Court Appointed Special Advocate program serving the abused and neglected children of Webb County. It is the only organization of its type in Webb County that participates solely in civil matters affecting abused and neglected minors.
Sheriff Cuellar has been an advocate for protecting the children of Webb County, especially those who are affected by abuse.

“I am humbly honored to assist Voz de Niños by presenting this significant contribution. These funds will help provide more advocates for abused and neglected children in Webb County.” Stated Sheriff Martin Cuellar.
Volunteers are appointed to serve as Guardian by the presiding court. There is approximately 500 plus children in state custody. In foster care for no fault of their own, foster children need our CASA volunteers to advocate for their best interests and benefit from having a voice in child protection cluster court.
