Member of Texas Syndicate sentenced to Eighteen Years

Courtesy Monica Garcia,

The Office of District Attorney Isidro R. Alaniz reports that  Carlos Alberto Flores was sentenced to serve 18years in prison for the murder of Pablo Lozano.

The murder charge stems from an emergency call to the Laredo Police Department during the early morning hours of July 12, 2009.  Responding officers found Pablo Lozano bleeding on the lawn of a home located on the 2900 block of Napoleon.  Emergency responders transported the unresponsive Lozano to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.  An autopsy revealed that Lozano died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.  An investigation by the Laredo Police Department confirmed that the murder was related to gang activity.  Flores was arrested and formally charged with Murder and Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

As part of a plea agreement, Flores, who is a member of the Texas Syndicate, pled guilty to both charges  and was sentenced to eighteen years in prison by the honorable Judge Joe Lopez.
