Diana Rodriguez was recently honored at the Laredo Commission for Women monthly meeting. Rodriguez has served on the LCW for the past eight years, representing District VIII. She was first appointed by then-Council Member Juan Ramirez and then continued to serve under Council Member Cindy Liendo-Espinoza. Before serving on the Commission, she was inducted to the Laredo Commission for Women Hall of Fame in 2002 for her many accomplishments in the arena of education.
Rodriguez served on many special committees; one dearest to her heart was with the Committee for Elderly Outreach, organizing activities for Dia De Los Abuelitos and the annual Blanket Give-Away during Christmas. Rodriguez is a very dedicated and caring person and will continue to serve the Laredo community as an educator for L.I.S.D at Leyendecker Elementary School.
Rodriguez, left, is being congratulated by Mary Nunez, 2010-2011 Chairwoman for the Laredo Commission for Women.
