Santa To Visit Head Start Party

All eyes and ears of the children from the Webb County Head Start program will be on the look- out for Santa Claus arriving on a sleigh as Webb County Commissioner of precinct 1 Frank Sciaraffa and the City of Laredo Parks and Leisure kick off the sixth annual Head Start Christmas Party.
The event will take place Wednesday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Laredo Civic Center.
“Christmas is a very special time for kids and I want all of them to have an opportunity visiting with Santa during this special time of the year,” Sciaraffa said. “It gives great pleasure to see the smiles on the children they enjoy special Christmas memories.”
Children will be treated to fun and games as well as a special performance by Clown Bolitas. Clown Bolitas goes on stage at 10:30 a.m. to entertain the children.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will make a special entrance on his sleigh at twelve noon escorted by the Webb County Sheriff’s Department. Commissioner Sciaraffa will accompany Santa as he greets the kids.
Over fifteen hundred (1500) children will each receive a special present during the party.
“This Christmas, it is very important that each child take back nice memories from the event by receiving a special present. We hope this party makes a difference to each and every child attending,” Sciaraffa said.
