City of Laredo Announces Free Fall 2026 Brush & Bulky Item Collection Service

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and the Environmental & Solid Waste Services Department are informing the community about the upcoming Fall 2026 Free Brush & Bulky Item Collection Service, which offers eligible residential customers the opportunity to properly dispose of brush and large household items.
The seasonal collection will be conducted by City Council district, with a designated collection date for each of Laredo’s eight districts. The service is available only to active residential accounts.
Residents are encouraged to identify their City Council district and take note of their scheduled collection date. Residents who are unsure of their district may use the City’s online district lookup tool: Find Your City Council District Here.
The free Brush & Bulky Item Collection Service will take place on the following dates:
District 1: Monday, September 14, 2026
District 2: Monday, September 28, 2026
District 3: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
District 4: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
District 5: Thursday, November 12, 2026
District 6: Thursday, November 19, 2026
District 7: Friday, December 4, 2026
District 8: Wednesday, December 16, 2026
Residents participating in the collection service must place eligible items at the curb before 6:00 a.m. on their district’s scheduled pick-up date. Items must be placed in an accessible area with no obstructions that could interfere with collection.
Eligible bulky items include box springs and mattresses, exercise equipment, furniture, household appliances, large toys, scrap metal, swing sets, and brush waste.
The collection service does not accept construction waste, hazardous waste, motor oil, paint, solvents, liquids, or electronic waste such as televisions and computers. Residents needing to dispose of these materials should contact the Solid Waste Department or 3-1-1 for information regarding appropriate disposal options.
The City encourages residents to take advantage of this free seasonal service and help maintain clean and safe neighborhoods throughout Laredo.
