LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo and Council Member for District 7, Vanessa Perez, in collaboration with the Awareness Warriors Foundation, invite the community to participate in the Trail of Hope 5K Challenge: Remembering 17; Supporting the Many, taking place this Saturday, September 26 at Father McNaboe Park.

Every day, an average of 17 U.S. veterans lose their lives to suicide. This September, during Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month, the Laredo community will come together to honor their memory, recognize the sacrifices of our veterans, and stand in support of the families and loved ones whose lives have been forever changed.

More than a race, the Trail of Hope 5K is a movement of remembrance, hope, healing, and support. Each step along the trail serves as a reminder that no veteran, family member, or loved one should have to face difficult moments alone.

The event provides an opportunity for veterans, families, residents, and community supporters to come together, raise awareness, build meaningful connections, and show their support for those impacted.
