Only 5 Spots Left For The AI & Entrepreneurship Summer Program for Class of 2027

(Laredo, Texas)-Workforce Solutions for South Texas is accepting final applications for Cohort 2 (Summer) of our Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Entrepreneurship Summer Program. Only five (5) spaces remain available for this opportunity.

Funded through a Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Innovation Fund Grant, this program is designed to prepare the next generation of innovators by introducing high school students to artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and career readiness.

The program is open to rising high school seniors (Class of 2027) enrolled in STEM-related pathways, including Engineering, Mathematics, Science, Robotics, Computer Science, and other technology-focused programs.

During this hands-on experience, students will:

  • Learn prompt engineering techniques to effectively interact with AI technologies.
  • Explore how artificial intelligence is transforming today’s workforce.
  • Develop entrepreneurship and financial literacy skills.
  • Collaborate with peers to create AI-powered solutions to real-world challenges.
  • Strengthen leadership, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and presentation skills.

July 6–9 and July 13–16, 2026

The program concludes with a Student Innovation Showcase, where participants will present their projects before educators, employers, workforce professionals, and community partners.

Earlier this year, Workforce Solutions for South Texas successfully launched the first cohort of this innovative program. We are excited to continue expanding this opportunity for students interested in STEM and emerging technologies.
