City of Laredo Mayor Invites the Community to Celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States

LAREDO, Texas – The City of Laredo Mayor, Dr. Victor D. Treviño, in partnership with the Laredo Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Consulate of Mexico in Laredo, invites members of the media and the community to attend a special celebration commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America, on Thursday, July 2, at El Portal (1201 Water St.) starting at 6:00 p.m.

This community celebration will honor our nation’s rich history while highlighting the unity, friendship, and cultural ties that make Laredo a truly unique border community. Attendees will enjoy an evening of live entertainment, cultural performances, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and to finalize the night with excitement, the community will be able to enjoy a fireworks display.

The City of Laredo encourages residents of all ages to attend this free community event and celebrate this historic milestone together.
