City of Laredo Invites Community to the Summer Sunrise Cleanup in District 5

LAREDO, Texas – City of Laredo’s Keep Laredo Beautiful, a division under the Environmental & Solid Waste Services Department, invites residents to kick off Parks and Recreation Month by giving back to the community during the Summer Sunrise Cleanup at Blas Castañeda Park.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to join volunteers in helping beautify one of Laredo’s neighborhood parks on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. This family-friendly event is a great opportunity to make a positive impact, earn community service hours, and enjoy a fun morning outdoors.
Participants will receive snacks during the cleanup, and at the end of the event, the Laredo Police Department will treat volunteers to popsicles as a thank-you for their service.
The Summer Sunrise Cleanup is part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintaining clean, welcoming parks while encouraging civic pride and community involvement.
