Various Lane Closures Will Take Place Along State Loop 20 From May 14 to May 16

LAREDO, Texas – Weather permitting, Oscar Renda Contracting, Inc. will be performing the following lane closures this week:
- Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the contractor will be pouring concrete curbs on the SL 20 northbound frontage road median. While this work is being achieved, the Kansas City Southern (KCS) Railroad entrance ramp to the SL 20 northbound mainlanes will be closed and traffic will be redirected through the northbound frontage road.
- Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the contractor will be grading the median on the SL 20 northbound frontage road. While this work is being achieved, the KCS Railroad entrance ramp to the SL 20 northbound mainlanes will be closed and traffic will be redirected through the northbound frontage road.
- Wednesday, May 16, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the contractor will be pouring concrete curbs on the State Loop (SL) 20 southbound mainlanes at the State Highway (SH) 359 exit ramp. While this work is being achieved, the SH 359 exit ramp will be closed and traffic will be re-directed via the Spur 400 exit or through Cuatro Vientos Road.
Motorists are urged to slow down, merge to open lane(s) and follow the designated detours while driving cautiously through the work zone consciously looking out for the safety of construction crews.
These lane closures and detours will facilitate the construction and widening of the Kansas City Southern (KCS) overpass project situated between Spur 400 (Clark Boulevard) and the SH 359 interchange.
