UISD’s Officer Villagomez Jumps into Action to Comfort Student

(Laredo, Texas)-The first day of school is always very stressful for students. This is especially true for students who are beginning their first year of school. This year at Nye Elementary, Pre-kinder student Iker Cuevas was having a difficult first day. United ISD officer Ricardo Villagomez jumped into action and began comforting Iker. Officer Villagomez stayed with Iker until he was completely comfortable with school. Thanks to Officer Villagomez, Iker loves to come to school every day!
Thank you, Officer Villagomez, Chief Ray Garner, and all of the United ISD Police Department for not only keeping our students out of harm’s way but also for taking the time to make our students feel safe and protected in any situation.
