Mr. Koroma  focuses on serving as a role model and building positive relationships with students with the hope of inspiring each one of them. He sees his role in leadership as one of service to help students realize their full potential, and work with teachers to achieve students success.

As one of the region winners, Mr. Koroma will be recognized during the Josten’s Night of the Stars Awards Dinner on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at the Hilton Austin Downtown Hotel.  Each winner will be presented with an award and recognized in a commemorative book entitled Texas Principals, Texas Heroes.  The TASSP Summer Workshop will be held June 12-14, 2019, at the Austin Convention Center. As a Region One winner, Sinneh Koroma, Jr is also eligible to compete for the state title of Texas Principal (or Assistant Principal) of the Year.

Mr. Koroma  enjoys the love and support of his wife, Dr. Gloria Nataki-Koroma, DNP and their two sons, Nathan and Ethan Koroma. “I am greatly honored by this recognition. It is a privilege to motivate and help all students strive for excellence. I concur with the viewpoint of American educator and reformer Horace Mann that education, beyond all other devices of human origin, is the great equalizer of the conditions of men and women,—the balance-wheel of the social machinery” said Koroma.

TASSP recognizes outstanding principals and assistant principals from the twenty region Education Service Centers in the state.  School administrators are nominated and chosen by their peers within their regions.  Nominations are based upon exemplary performance and outstanding leadership.
