Lyndon B. Johnson Student Achieves National Level Recognition at HOSA Competition

(Laredo, Texas)-This June, Lyndon B. Johnson high school student Jesus Balderas placed 2nd in the category of Researched Persuasive Writing & Speaking at the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA), competition in Dallas, Texas. His topic was “Gene Editing: Cures or Scary Science?” Mr. Balderas competed against over 100 other students for the national level recognition. His HOSA advisor is Ms. Rosa Villarreal, and his mentor is Ms. Cynthia Gallardo.
