United ISD Announces Vanessa Saldaña Principal For Prada Elementary

(Laredo, Texas)-The United Independent School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent Roberto J. Santos are pleased to announce Ms. Vanessa Saldaña as the new Principal for Prada Elementary School effective the 2018-2019 school year.
In 2002, Ms. Saldaña graduated with Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Bilingual Specialization from Texas A&M International University. Four years later, she graduated with a Masters of Science Degree in School Counseling from Texas A&M International University. Her passion for education has lead her to pursue a Doctorate in Educational Administration Degree from Texas A&M at College Station. She has currently completed all course work with a 4.0 GPA, has passed the preliminary examinations and has been approved to begin preparation for a dissertation proposal.
Her career began in 2002 teaching 4th grade at Bonnie Garcia Elementary with United ISD. Shortly after she served as the campus counselor for two years. In 2008, she became an Assistant Principal at Prada Elementary and proudly served this capacity for eight years. She currently held the position of Assistant Principal at J.W. Arndt Elementary.
