Finley Elementary Celebrates 30 Years of Academic Excellence

(Laredo, Texas)-Finley Elementary School celebrated 30 years of academic excellence by hosting an anniversary ceremony. United ISD Board Secretary Juan Roberto Ramirez, Superintendent Roberto J. Santos, and members of the Finley family, including the widow of Mr. Joe B. Finely, Jr., Mrs. Mary Finley, staff, and students were in attendance.
Principal Joe Garza of Finley Elementary began the festivities by introducing the Honors Choir, who performed musical selections during the western themed dinner. Mr. Garza also recognized current and former Finley Elementary students,staff and teachers. The evening culminated with the presentation of an award to the Finely family, who continue to be pioneers of many instructional programs at Finley Elementary and United ISD.
