United ISD Proud of its Outstanding 8th Graders of the Year

(Laredo, Texas)- Nine United ISD middle school students were announced as Outstanding 8th Graders of the Year. Parents, teachers and administrators applauded the students, who had been previously recognized as Outstanding 8th Graders of the Month during the 2017-2018 school year. Students who garner the Outstanding 8th Grader title have a record of excellent academic performance, and serve as role models who donate personal time to support charities and projects in our community.
All of the students received $150.00 in gifts and certificates from local businesses. The honors ceremony was co-sponsored by the Laredo Police Officers Association, Friends of the Family, KGNS-TV and affiliated stations, Laredo Emergency Room, Family Nissan and Rosaura “Wawi” Tijerina, Attorney at Law.
