Ramirez Signs with Laredo Community College

(Laredo, Texas)- At the end of this school year Benkis Ramirez will trade the blue and gold uniform he’s proudly worn for the past four years and replace it with the green and gold donned by Laredo Community College Palominos wear.
Benkis is a three year lettermen for the John B. Alexander Baseball Team. Ramirez has received many accolades and recognitions throughout his baseball career with the Bulldogs. In 2017 he was selected as a First Team All-District Outfielder. This year, Ramirez was selected as an Honorable Mention All-District Outfielder.
Ramirez’s teammates and coach will tell you that Benkis is not only a great player, but he’s also a great person. “Benkis exemplifies all the qualities of a good leader,” said Coach Fernando Lemus. “He’s been an integral part of our program’s success,” he added.
Ramirez will join the Palominos Baseball Team this summer where he’ll join the team as they begin training for the next season.
