8th Annual STEM Alliance at Texas A&M International University

During the week of February 19, 2018, Texas A&M International University hosted its 8th series of STEM (Science Technology, Engineering and Math), symposiums. The annual series of classroom activities is designed to expose Laredo and surrounding area high school students to STEM fields of study and career opportunities.
Students from UISD, LISD and other area schools partook of a unique opportunity to connect with professors, organizations, companies, and speakers. Today, nine out of the ten fastest growing occupations require degrees with significant scientific or mathematical training, and increasing student awareness of STEM fields of study is a priority at UISD.
