(Laredo, Texas)-High School Nation (HSN), the country’s largest secondary school touring festival, wrapped up its 2017 Fall Tour at United High School. The stop was the 35thand final destination for a tour that has been visiting secondary public schools throughout the United States for the past seven weeks. It was also the tour’s first excursion to Laredo. The HSN mission revolves around reviving and sustaining creative arts departments in public high schools across the nation, and inspiring students to pursue careers in the arts. To date, the HSN tour has reached over half a million students, and donated over $1.25M in recording/studio equipment to public high schools across the nation.
United High School students thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor festival, which was brimming with live music performed by nine contemporary artists on two stages. Students also enjoyed display areas which featured professional recording gear/instruments from the world’s top manufacturers. One particular display set up by HSN tour sponsor Guitar Center allowed students to exhibit their talents on new model guitars and drum kits, which were set up for their enjoyment. HSN will be donating and installing a fully functional recording studio at United High School in exchange hosting the festival.
