United ISD Students Cash In on Ride the Wave to Success

(Laredo, Texas)-Despite the cooler temperatures United ISD students have started cashing in on the United ISD’s latest initiative to motivate students to reach high and achieve their academic goals. Ride the Wave to Success Program aims to motivate all students of United ISD to strive to do the very best they can and come to school everyday.
Encompassed in the program are two opportunities for United ISD students to receive prizes. The Ride the Wave to Success Program is a community partnership between United ISD, Bahama Bucks, Constable Devally’s Office, Guerra Communications, and Wal-Mart.
Upon receiving their report cards all United ISD students who have straight A’s in Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts can take their report card to Bahama Bucks and receive a shaved ice. Students with Straight A’s on their official United ISD Report Card must bring their Report Cards to redeem FREE shaved ice.
Students who have Perfect Attendance will be automatically entered in a drawing to win a $100 gift card courtesy of the San Bernardo Wal-Mart. A drawing will be held and winners will be notified by the United ISD’s Communications Office.
“We are excited to be piloting a great program focused on motivating students to do their best in school,” stated Constable Harold Devally.
The program will run throughout the 2017-2018 school year.
